In 70 and 71, the front fender trim is part of the headlight bezel and is anodized aluminum.  In 72-74, the front fender trim is part of the header panel.  It's fiberglass and painted body color.

Are you looking for the metal trim mounted on the fender?  I just removed all 4 from my '71 Chally. They are originals and still in good shape. PM me if your are interested.

The front hood molding was painted too.

No wonder i can't find the pieces. I just assumed it was like the rear panels. I have yet to drag my header and grill out of storage to restore them.

So the aluminum piece on the front of the hood needs to be painted?

That's a 70 or 71 piece.  The 72-74 trim is steel...not aluminum.  Yes, it gets painted body color.

And (I have been told, but I have not personally verified) the 70, 71, and 72-74 pieces have slightly different countours, so the 70-71 hood trim will not line up exactly with the 72-74 header. I imagine it shoul be close, though.

They attach different. The 70-71 piece attaches with clips through holes in the front lip of the hood. 72-74 have a lip built onto the trim and attach with Philips head screws from underneath.

I can't recall for certain who told me that; it's on here somewhere. I want to say it was Dave at Roseville. In any event, I had asked if I could take 70-71 headlight bezels and cut the outer sections to modif into a 72-72 header. The answer was (paraphrasing) "You can do anything with enough work, but the contours are different so they won't line up exactly correctly without also using a 70-71 hood lip."

HK is correct. The 70-71 hood moldings are contoured differently than the 72-74. They will not match the shape of the ones on the header panel.
