7 clips slide into the metal retainers that are fastened to the door panel itself :2cents:

Just as I thought.....Working with the aftermarket stuff is certainly more time consuming. For the Hydramax Clutch Kit I had to remove the "nub" on the clutch pedal and drill a hole for a heim joint....No way I could have done this with the dash in place. Then in the engine compartment I want to make it look like a "stock" mod, so I retain the proper standard brake firewall plate and wire holders/nuts etc...I made an "L" bracket to mount the extra reservoir..., tried to keep everything clean looking. Also installed the new proportioning valve and started on some brake lines. Looks like I'll need to make my own lines for the master cylinder...

Funny guy...I blame my "spell checker"... :icon16:

I believe you're the one that told me about removing the brake light switch....on the last one I installed.  :worshippy
I just found out they sell precut lengths of stainless line with the fittings all ready on them, so I think I'm just going to go that route....easier then trying to flare stainless lines :pullinghair:

Yes I buy them thru my local Allstar Performance distributor. :2thumbs:

I found I had to tighten them and loosen them a few times to get them to seat and not leak. Stainless is tougher than steel

Today I was able to finish up and the brake lines and the instalation of the main power wire for the stereo....I wanted to keep it out of sight as much as I could...I'm not a fan of that crap.

Got the car off the cart and installed the rear end....Ran out of time to finish the rear end install....it got too hot in the garage and the pool was calling my name :D

Today was another example of things done "out-of-order"  in my opinion. Fuel lines. You should plan to run all the fuel lines first before the rear axle assembly goes it. It's much easier that way. :2cents:

In this case, I have to mount the external electric fuel pump/filters for the fuel injection. Still not sure where I can mount it, I wanted the rear end in place so I can see what my options are. Also right now the entire fuel system is at the engine builders so he can run the fuel injection of his dyno.
I've modified a stock sending unit to have a 3/8 out main line and a 5/16 return line. I plan to run two  pre bent main fuel lines 3/8 & 5/16 and interrupt them where I have to for the pump etc...

Sweet! I put the exact same tires on 17" TT II's on my '71 and they look really good.  I did have to massage my rear inner 1/4's to give the big meats some wiggle room.  Did you have any problems?

YES...it's very very close.....For some reason, closer on the passenger side which has a reproduction quater panel. :clueless: I'm going to trim it an 1/8" or so...

Exactly what I had to do.  They still look really good.  I have 255/50/17's on the front and had to roll the front lip edge a bit, again especially on the passenger side.  Also if you go to complete wheel lock to the right it just brushes the frame rail, but not much.
