Mozilla issue
« on: May 11, 2014 - 12:06:34 PM »
Anyone here using Firefox as a browser? We've recently converted at my house and since then I've noticed I can't log out of C-C.com. Every other web site out there, no problem. But for some reason I can't log out of this one. Granted, I really love hanging out on C-C.com, but probably should log out when I'm not here. Thoughts?

I wouldn't worry about it. I think this site automatically logs you out after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Using Firefox on my tablet.  Just logged out and back in to test it.  No problem.   :dunno:

When I logged out to test it I selected to stay logged in forever when I logged back in.

I know there is an option to "log in forever" here, but trust me, you aren't logged in here 24/7. That is just so you don't have to type your password each time you visit here. To prove my point, I'll be back online here at some insane hour, and I'll snap a picture of who's online.    :picture:

My mozilla was having a problem yesterday.  It was loading pages all the time.

I restarted my computer and when I turned mozilla back on they had an update for me to install.
When I installed the update my mozilla ran just fine.  No more problems.
That's how they get you to upload their latest versions.  Make your old version not work properly.

Hope that helps a little.

So it sounds like the site is auto-logging me out and each revisit is an instant log in based on my cookies.

I think I'm okay with that.

Try this, from the Tools menu select Option then Privacy, near the bottom is a check box for Clear History when Firefox Closes.
Make sure it is checked.

I have used firefox for a few years now and am running version 28 and will not up date it as on other computors I use the later versions take some of the control away from you just like win 8 & win 8.1    :stomp:
The comments I have heard about 8.1 is it will now ensure a long life for win 7 which is only marginally better. Wish XP Pro was still good as it was very stable.   :banghead:
