Borla S-Type Exhaust, anyone use one yet??
« on: May 22, 2014 - 03:47:13 PM »
Possibly going to purchase the S-Type Borla Stainless system. for my 2013 RT Challenger. A little pricey at about $!200.00. Checking to see if anyone has one and their opinion before I spend that much. From their web site it sounds great.

Basically all factory exhaust systems are mandrel bent stainless any more.  I don't see the point in spending that kind of money on a complete exhaust system.  You already have free flowing pipes.  Personally, I'd replace the stock mufflers/resonators and leave the factory pipes.  :2cents:

Go to car shows and hear it in person before you buy.

I had a 300 SRT in 2006.  The best bang for your buck was the Diablo Tuner.  The factory put big pipes on the SRT's and mine ran great.  I did drive at the SRT track experience with cars that had the Corsa Exhaust.  They did sound good, but I didn't see spending $1200 at the time for it to add a little sound.  I would just change the mufflers if you want more sound.  Just watch out for the dreaded drone.

Going to be adding a Borla S Type Axle Back on my 14 CS/GT Mustang.  Lots of videos and reviews have convinced me its the way to go.  Here's a link to get you started for your RT:
