IT's Alive!!!! Fresh big block 383 challenger!!!
« on: April 18, 2005 - 06:17:32 PM »
Today was the day . Finnaly started the fresh 383 my father and I built for his challenger.  10.1 Edelbrock dyno tested 383 with 400hp. He didnt want to go crazy as this is going to be his everyday cruizer. We prime the oil and fuel set the timing and she started right up. Fresh header paint and motor paint buring off with 80lbs of oil pressure and 60 at idle . The car sounds amazing!  Almost ready to hit the road but we need to get a oil dip stick and the right water pump or crank pulley as they are rubbing each other. Another succesful fire up!!! dont mind the wiring, the engine bay still needs to be detailed and cleaned up.  ;D

Red i believe the top pully is the wrong one.... were going to try and space it out and see what happens, its off about a 1/4 inch.If it dont worth we'll look into the march setup. Took the car for a ride yesterday and just burnt the tires right off through the gears.   :dogpile:
