Steering column electrical connections

If so, I'm wondering if that small connector is for something like a variable speed wiper motor or something.

Here is an idea. I know taking the column partially apart may not sound like a great idea, but if you could trace where those three wires go around the ignition/turn signal switch, it may help to know whether you need them or not.

Looks like it will work I just need to figure out how they both plug into the one white connector from the harness.

It's definitely part of the turn signal switch.

Now to figure out if I can join them together and plug it in.

Yes..The large black and red simply plug into the connector in the corresponding order to the plug in the car. The three wire connector is not used whatsoever....It's connected to the signal switch. Usually I cut them off at the switch.

The same signal switch is used in newer vehicles as well....I think I read somewhere those wires were used in a van application or something ...certainly nothing in the muscle car era...

  That's what I was thinking. Newer switch with different options. Good to know for future purchases.

The extra 3 wire connector from the TS switch was used in 70 up  in Chrysler 300s etc with the cornering lights option , most Chryslers just had the reflector/ side light but  they had the option for a cornering light built into the side of the fender as part of the side light when you activated the turn signal it would turn on a spot light to the side you were turning into for extra visability , the extra 3 plug harness activated the cornering light .

I'm pretty sure I know what I have but I'd thought I would throw it out there.

On the third picture, the three ported plug that has a tan wire on it is a positive accessory plug correct?

Nevermind, I found it as it's a plug for defog switch, AC, etc.
