440-6 CUDA
« on: April 18, 2005 - 09:46:07 PM »
Need some help here.  I recently picked up a '71 cuda.  Its a 440 6pack 4spd car.  It has build sheet and 2 fender tags.  Car is tor red with billboards but what seems odd is the fact that the tag and braodcast sheet show that the car was built with option A36 (3:55 sure grip rear axle) even though its a 4speed car.  The tag does not show it to have been an ordered car.  Has any one out there ever seem or heard of this before?  The car does have what looks to be the original rear 83/4 sure grip in it still.
thanks for any info

a 440 6pk car with a 4gear would not have an 8¾ from Chrysler, Dana 60 only.

If it was an auto car it could, should have D32 after the E87 code.

It is a BS23V0 car right?

Thats a bit of a bummer.......

I wish people would leave these cars together or atleast keep the original parts and sell them with the car.

Still sounds like a magic car mate.  :grinyes: :D
