Hello, I'm the owner of XV Racing Products Chris Reinhardt...
Just to set a few things straight and I mean no disrespect to anyone...
XVM had ONE control arm failure, and it was fabricated aluminum, and it was an SCCA solo car. I never had the failed piece in my hands, but the talk was that the car had extreme caster and camber angles that caused the failure. It's also possible it was a bad weld??? XVM responded by building the control arms completely out of steel, and we never heard of any issues since, with either the fabricated aluminum ones, or the steels. I can tell that I personally replaced the fabricated aluminum control arms on XV001, the orange Challenger that was the first Level II car that they did all the testing, and beat the snot out of it on the track and off, and there were NO Issues with them.
The billet pieces were offered as an upgrade, not a replacement for the fabricated aluminum ones, the standard part was the steel fabricated unit.
Also, XVM NEVER offered Gen II motor mounts for anything, I worked there and they never did. They did offer, and I will offer a K frame minus motor mounts and the customer can fabricate their own...
Hope this clears things up...
Chis Reinhardt
