Engine color? Suggestions?

I have a 73 318 Barracuda (BS23G) that my brother is building a 360 for.  The car is FY1 yellow and trying to decide on painting the engine blue like the original 318 would have been.  Or Hemi orange like the 70-71 340's?

I'd go with what ever color you like best.

The blue might contrast better with the yellow body. My engine was originally blue but my car is black so I painted the engine orange. Looks awesome.

mine isn`t lemon twist (any more) but I `didn`t like the orange with the bodycolor on my car so I painted the 440 60`s turqoise ( Chrysler green)

I painted my 73 340, blue. Like the original.

I'd go blue since it would have nice contrast against the yellow, plus blue would be correct for a 73 anyway.

Where do you pick up the correct color for engine painting? Mine is orange

Mopar , Plasti coat  many other paint companies offer high temp engine paints although Hemi orange is usually just Chev orange a more reddish color

Well mine is a slant 6. Maybe it is more red now that I'm thinking about it.
