Find my 74 Challenger by vin?

I know I have tried this before but it has been a while.  It seems there may be a member or someone that has a history or registry of some E body vins?

I have the VIN of my 74 Challenger I had in the 80's and curious what became of it.  Would love to get it back...

There is only a 1970 registry to my knowledge.

I think it will be hard since a lot of that information is now kept private.  I tried a search on my '71 Chally and got nothin.  I went to the CO DMV and they said I would need the previous owners permission to share his information.  If I would have known the previous owners, I would need to search for my car!

I had a wanted Cuda posting on craigslist for a year, eventually got a email from some guy said he bought the '70 340 I installed out of my car around '86, said the car was wacked hard in the front, also said the interior was mint..all he remembered, so I guess i had some closure on my '74 Barracuda
