Here are a few photo’s of an R/T E38 charger that I picked up last weekend, all I have to do now is find a cuda or challenger ( not to many in Aus) to keep it company in the shed. It has been sitting since 99 so I am keen to got through the basic’s brakes etc and take it for a run.

What year is that Charger?
Did they produce the Aussy cars in the same time line as in the states here? ( that you know of )
Also, what else do have back there?

The E38 is a 71 model; we only got the R/T version of our charger in 71 and 72 over here.  The other charger in the background is a 74 VJ charger and it is a limited edition sportsman model (which was basically a styling exercise by Chrysler) where all sportsman’s were painted in two-tone red and white. I will post some photos of it tomorrow.

Yeah - more pics please!!

Also, so the R/T Chargers came witht a straight 6?
Do you have any horsepower ratings for those?

Sorry to keep picking your brain, I just think that's a cool car!

All of our R/T chargers come with a 265 Hemi straight six
The 71 E38 had 280 BHP and the 72 E49 had 302 BHP at the flywheel.

Very cool, Charger49.  At first glance, looking from the front of the car to the rear reminds me of an early fastback A-body Barracuda. :dontknow:
1973 Dodge Challenger......................The ongoing project. (00/----\00)
1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin-Turbo....The sunny day cruiser (RTBoost)
1990 Toyota Celica GT Liftback...........The new daily & winter driver.
All-American Muscle: 'Cudas and Challengers...Still the Elite and always will be.

 I've read where they are really screamers, in other word: go like hell. And with what I think is a 40 gallon gas tank because of the great distances between places down there in Aussieland. Nice !

Yep that’s the gas tank in the boot; it holds 36 gallon’s (160 litres) and these tanks were fitted so that the cars could race at Bathurst with only one fuel stop.

We can get LHD vehicle’s on full rego in any state of Australia if they are over 30 years old.
