I would have never even noticed that or thought it was a valuable option  :roflsmiley: . Shows how fresh I am to this E body / Mopar stuff! I assume that was a rare option then? Thanks again Alan- your advise is very much appreciated. After I meet with him and get a look at the fender tags (if possible) I might just have to throw out an offer!

Grab it before it's gone. Not a bad starting point.

From my experience your always better off saving up and buying the most complete car you can afford.
I know it's easier said than done, but as mentioned it will take >$30k plus your initial investment to get the car to the point of a $25k or less you could buy now.
Non-running long term projects are the worst.  Buy something you can drive and enjoy as you fix it up.

It`s gonna need everything and will probably cost more than it`s worth but still a decent deal for a real `70 `cuda.

I had a friend that had a '70 in the same color, bench seat too but a 318. fun car, loved the paint. that's a nice little option list on that one for sure, grab it and don't think twice (as long as those frame rails look good)

Did you make an offer on it?
or is it already in your driveway?

I wish!  I told the owner I would be giving him a call next week. Assuming nothing comes up between now and then I plan to start at 5,000 and see where we end up!  :burnout:

Good luck on the purchase!  Looks like a fun project.  And if not, let us know and we'll buy it  :stirpot:

Well folks- I guess I'm a mopar owner  :swaying:  :working:

Met the seller today and struck a deal. I got a look inside (everything looked okay yet trashed), and in the trunk. The trunk pan is rotted through with rust have been left open for a while to the weather considering the condition of the rest of the car. But other than that everything looked good. After a bit of negotiating I bought the car (with title), and the 440 longblock for 4,500! I can't think that was too bad of a deal! Be prepared for A LOT of dumb Newb questions
