I fall into the general concensus here. I listen to the Doors, The Who, The Stones, Led Zepplin, The Beatles. And I'll have to throw in Jimmy buffet. And I'm proud to say that I' have seen them all in concert(in some way shape or form). There are people who will argue that it's not the same. And it's certainly not, but as long as the surviving members feel that it's good enough for them, then I think it's good enough for me. Plus, I've seen bands from AC/DC to Metallica, to God Smack, to Linkin Park, and none of them can comepete, in terms of energy and passion for what they are doing, with the Who or the Rolling Stones. Not much inspiring music has come out lately I must admidt. I think the only two groups that have stood the test of time in the last 15 years and have not been a slave to the industry are Metallica (for their longevity) and Pearl Jam (for standing up to Dicketmaster). There are othere, but they have either faded out or become slaves to the audience. but hey, thats how you make money I guess.
