My '74 Challenger
« on: April 19, 2005 - 04:32:10 PM »
Sorta new here, posted several times.  Anyway, I am getting close to finish point on my Chally and figured I would post a few pics.  Puttin in a 440 with the following goodies...

Ross .040 over pistons
zero decked
E-heads 84 cc
10.5:1
Hughes 3844 238/244 dur .536/.540 lift
crane ductile adjustable rockers
Edlebrock RPM intake
750 Holley
TTI 1 7/8" headers
T/A "tight" 10" converter

I've had this car for 10 years and intended to pull the motor out to paint it but one thin led to another and I ended up rebuilding it, painting the engine bay, rebuilding front end, putting in new brake and fuel lines etc.  I also upgraded for handling with .96" t-bars, 1 1/8" front sway bar, and 6/7 leaf ESPO springs, and Edelbrock IAS shocks.  Currently getting leaf springs in and once I get my header loan  :spank:  I will buy a set of TTIs and get the exhaust in.

Later,
Dan

I deleted my previous post with the pics in it.  No need having two sets of the same pic to slow down the poor dial-up users.  (Soon to be me once again :'()

Wow, that is one impressive looking motor. You should have put a drool warning in the title of your post.

Thanks fellas....Rev-it-up, the color is a '94 Toyota color called Red Mica I believe.  Soon as I rationalize buying a set of TTI headers I will be throwing the motor in.  Will post some more pics then.
