    Hi all,
    Just looking at another car online at Arizona Classics.
    Since researching the Plum Crazy T/A here in Australia and travelling so far to view it in person, I gotta say I can't shake the idea of getting a T/A.
    If this is a good specimen, does it seem to be on the money?

    I feel bad about the endless questions and I wanna contribute more at this site, but it's hard when I have no first hand experience... or a Challenger... yet

    This seems high to me.  In fact, viewing their inventory all their cars seem to be priced high.

    No doubt The fact it's a dealer will contribute to that

    Unfortunately I don't have the skill or time to restore something like the T/A for sale here in Australia so I can't afford to take a gamble with the possibility of finding lots lurking under the surface and  the likelihood  of seeing the restoration bill rise with every section of a build

    I'm after a car for me, so I want one that's running and trouble free

    What's the likely price range for a high quality restored T/A?

    I'm hoping to get details of this car's restoration

    don't feel bad about asking, folks are here to help.

    I think it's close based on what i'm seeing. + you'll have @ $4-6K in shipping costs + taxes when you get it home ..... at that starting price you'll be into it for 100K or more. haggle him down to $70-75k

    That's the idea behind a complete restoration...it cost more, but you know exactly what you're getting ! :2thumbs:

    I agree, but remember what they are asking and what they will take for it are two different things.  Dealers like these almost always over value the cars they have to maximize their profits.

    If you are truly interested in the car make them a serious offer and see what they say.

    This isn't a bad one But way overpriced in my opinion and a few more things not correct about it. Should be in the 50-60k range like most other T/A's.

    If it was a Black/Black 4spd Matching BS Fender Tag or Purple/White or Gold or White T/A then I could see them asking around that much. I'd wait for a better deal if I were you otherwise you may end up unhappy, again just my opinion.

    I would honestly start with a project car and let Alan or someone like him restore it per the buildsheet specs or if it is not #'s matching, them made-to-order exactly how you want it.  I guarantee this car has problems (bondo, rust, mechanical, electrical, paint chips, drivetrain, etc).  The only way to meet your statement is to start from scratch and build it.  Then you know what you have and don't have like Alan said.
