Good info lads, I stand corrected.  ;)

I knew some options from 1970 followed through in the early 71's but I have always thought the console was a 70 only.  :dontknow: :)

The vin is js23n18244055.

That should be JS23N1B....I know that "B" sometimes looks like an 8 when it gets worn out.  Just wanted to make sure you knew that.  That is pretty cool that it has all those unusual options installed.....It'll be that much more of a special car when you bring it to shows. :grinyes:
1973 Dodge Challenger......................The ongoing project. (00/----\00)
1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin-Turbo....The sunny day cruiser (RTBoost)
1990 Toyota Celica GT Liftback...........The new daily & winter driver.
All-American Muscle: 'Cudas and Challengers...Still the Elite and always will be.

Most of the shows I go to I am the only e-body anyway so that makes it special. I wouldn't think the average bowtie or blueoval guy would notice. LOL

Hi Bluemonster , I have some insight on production numbers for your 71 challenger R/T options.
Let me start off by saying that it was very much possible to get left over production peices like your console ,although My challenger r/t with a vin of js23h1b163xxx had the correct ashtray at the rear of it.

here,s some info for you on your cassette option.

These numbers are for 1971 challenger R/T s only...

7.9  %  came with the AM radio with cassette player
4.4  %  came with the AM/FM  with cassette player
3.7  %  came with the microphone ( for the cassette player/recorder ) ( separate option and price )

There you go ,hope this helps answer your questions.

      take care      426
as long as its a mopar
