I saw the Graveyard Carz episode when they restored this '70 AAR Cuda. The owner has several SWEET Mopars. Notice it is currently a roller but has the motor and tranny to put in.
I've decided to let someone else complete the final assembly on this amazing AAR 'Cuda. I've made this decision based on just too many other projects (home, work, etc).
The rotisserie restoration on this car was shown on the hit television series 'Graveyard Carz', during seasons I and II, and has been broadcast in 46 countries on the Velocity/Discovery network. I'm not sure if that adds any value or not, but it's kind of cool none the less.
About the car: It is an all #'s matching 340 six barrel, 4 speed with console, rally gauge, rubber bumper car. The engine, transmission, core support, fender tag, build sheet title, and vin all match. All body panels are original except the trunk pan. There was the typical lower quarter rust and that's about it. Everything has been professionally repaired and looks outstanding.
It is also an original FY1 "Lemon Twist Yellow" with vinyl top AAR, which looks amazing with all the blackout.
The front and rear suspension has been completely gone through and is assembled on the car. It sports the 3/55.1 rear gears, front and rear sway bars, and standard (for AAR) front power disc brakes.
The interior is all original, except for the new black headliner, which is installed. The seats, dash, and door panels are all in exceptional condition. New black 4-speed carpet is included and need installation.
The engine is on an engine stand and is detailed and ready to go. It was one of the last engines built by Mopar engine guru Dick Ott, of Otts' Machine shop.
It is mostly stock with a slightly bigger cam and ported heads (yes the heads are correct T/A). It has been balanced as well. The flywheel has also been balanced, and I have a brand new clutch and pressure plate. A Mopar Performance electronic distributor is in place, but I have the original dual point that is included. The carburetors are brand new and correct Holley replacement carbs, with a new idle solenoid, linkage, and fuel lines. The air cleaner is all original, not a reproduction, and in mint condition.
The transmission worked fine when I pulled it out, but it really needs to be freshened before it goes back in this completely restored vehicle.
Obviously there is far too much to tell or list in this ad, so call or e-mail with your questions. I feel this is a solid 100K car when finished, and is less then 1k away, and a few weekends from completion. You could be cruising this legend before Summer's out!
