I bought my AAR in 93 and have been buying parts since. It spent most of its life as a drag car so I had to track down a lot of parts. I took the car in for body and paint in 2001, got married that same year and the wife and 4 kids were more important than putting it back together I still worked on some sub-assemblies as time allowed. Now that the kids are out of high school I started to work on the AAR again. When I started to assemble the car I ran into issues with the way the trunk extensions and the quarters were installed, I could not get my marker lights in as the trunk extensions were too high. I had some other small issues also. I talked to the guy that did the body work and he told me he could fix the problem by hammering down the trunk extensions. I talked with a friend of mine who does restoration work and decided to have him restore the car again. I decided to get new AMD quarter panel, tail panel and trunk extensions installed and replace the skins that were installed. The shop started stripping the car last week. Here is a picture of the car when I bought it and some picture at the start of resto #2. I hope to have the car finished and bring it to Carlisle in 2015.

Yes Alan it has a white interior, I almost sold mine a couple of times when I was real frustrated with some of the issues, I'm glad I didn't.

Yea I guess.....Black with white is pretty rare, maybe a half dozen or so....Mines purple with white....

You realize they had the same rear marker light issue at the factory. That's why the changed the rear marker light housing for 1971 by removing the "guards" around the light wire.
