News:
I go to open my door and SNAP off comes my door handle. After 40 years the handle decided it was time to end it's life.
Same thing happened to me yesterday at a car show. Must be bad juju.
AT least new handles are available , have you checked the oil sender at the back of the engine , I have seen untraceable leaks back there
I want to say it's a bad rear main seal but I can't seem to confirm that diagnosis. IT does not leak much while it's running but as soon as it gets parked is marks its territory with a couble tablespoons of engine oil. oil is on the rear portion of the oil pan and on the bottom part of the bell housing... what I need to do is stop trying to diagnose it and just start changing some of the gaskets.
Tightening the oil pressure line can be the problem , it can split the fittings or crack the line back there , it always seems to look like a rear main ! What engine do you have ?
