Source for fast ratio idler arm?
« on: June 30, 2014 - 12:47:49 PM »
Had to replace my fast ratio idler arm so I ordered one thru Summit only to get a wrong part. Not only is the stock length it has the taper going the wrong direction!  :pullinghair: Anyone have a source for the correct part, I can`t remember where I bought these a logn time ago?

The original ones used from the factory were the stock length. :2cents:

Firm Feel sells them with the "corrected length" http://www.firmfeel.com/e_body_mopar_fast_ratio_pitman_idler_arm.html
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Hotchkis sells a fast ratio one, but it is not cheap.

Added:  I think I ordered all my Hotchkis stuff from Summit, but not sure.  Cost is much less there.

Probably the same parts as everyone else for a jacked up price.

Might want to have a look at a 71 C body idler arm...  I haven't done it myself but a local guy is running one, said it was a direct bolt in & was the same length as the fast ratio pitman arm....

Ordered a c-body one thru NAPA, be here tomorrow morning and I`ll let you know part # etc. if it`s the correct one. The only other place I could find just the idler arm was FirmFeel but they want $90!! PST offers it in a kit but doesn`t sell it separately.  :screwy:

Picked it up and looks to be the same but haven't actually installed it yet. Only 56.40 thru NAPA, way cheaper than those specialty suspension companies!
