This months issue of Mopar Action has a guy asking about a 416 mile car that he wants to rebody.  Anyway, the editor replies and tells him to look for the factory installed "Invisible Ink" with a UV light.  This has to be the editor just having fun with this guy that wants to do something illegal.  I've never heard of such a thing.   ???

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I have heard of that. I can't say I would know what it looks like though. We had a thread a while back where someone(I think Chryco), mentioned that if the ink pad were missing, you would get a line scratched into the 10 thousand digit.

I do believe thats true, or if it's not, it's an "urban legend"as I've heard that before. It was supposed to be a way to check to see if someone rolled back the odometer. the 10,000 digit would have UV ink on it once it was displayed, so if the odo was rolled back, the digit would still have the ink on it, and it could be detected.

I would'nt have believed it if not for the other thread and the pics! Seem to me back in the 60's and 70's most cars were worn/rusted away by 100,000 miles. Its far different today. My everyday driver has 120,000+ and still drives and runs as well as it did new.(1999)

I can post the exact words later, but the question was about a 400 +/- mile car that was full of rust.  He was asking if it was ok to rebody the whole car!
