So after getting to a stopping point on the sub frame connectors. I was planning on having a friend of mine put in my firewall. Well after almost a year of trying to work out a good time I got tired of waiting. Guess its good for him to be busy but it sucks for me. So I decided to take this on my self. I spent a month just looking at the firewall. I finally started bracing things up making sure she was nice and square and sturdy. So after another month I took a spot weld drill and went to work. It took me approximately three days to get it out trying not to bend or distort the car.
So I eventually got the firewall out and the new one in. It went surprisingly well considering I was terrified. The new piece fit well it did have to be massaged in some places but surprisingly well. I took another three days to fit it and weld it in. It always pays to take your time on these things. After I got the firewall in i noticed the pieces that connect the firewall to the engine bay where now distorted and not fitting tight to the firewall like I want them to. So this is where I am now, I plan on hand making these and making them a little more sturdy since when I took them out I noticed they are only held on to the frame rails with three spot welds.
