I just had mine done by a guy on ebay "instrument specialties"....out of Oxford MA....

I have a standard cluster...

he restored the case, cleaned the speedo , temp, alt, and blank dials....painted the pointers orange again...rebuilt the speedo, re-screened the odometer wheels...recalibrated fuel and temp.....and upgraded my voltage reg to a solid state...they look good...I havent hooked them up yet...but it all ran about $600 bucks...  the speedo, and re-screening was most of the cost

Thanks for the plug Rudy! My website is www.instrument-specialties.com and I use the factory original silkscreening process on all my dial restorations (not decals, overlays, hot stamping or pad printing) this is the real deal using original ink formulas. If the dials are still nice and don't warrant re-screening, I have a special solvent cleaning  process that will renew them. Check me out. I service, repair and upgrade all gauges.

Hey Mike, I started this thread.  Pic of my gauges at the start.  I don't have time now to take them out and send because of a work contract I'm starting soon but would love to do something when  I return.  That will probably be late May.  I'm looking at Speedo refub, Tach resto (electronic ign) and quartz clock refit.  Do you do all of that?  Thanks, Chuck

How much did they charge to do standard gauges?

It was $475 to convert the ammeter to a volt meter, add the factory-look oil pressure gauge, 2 hours detailing the cluster and return (insured) shipping.

Greg is the owner and he is very easy to work with. Pics will be posted of his work when the cluster arrives. :jumping:

can someone post the websites to these places so we can look into them?

How hard is it to Google a company's name?
